The South Hills Active Faith club has been an influential club on campus, impacting many lives. Club cabinet members Brisia Alonzo (12), Jordan Benavides (12), Zenadia Diaz (12), Brianna Castruita (12), and Nathan Lam (12) shared their experiences with the club and how it has taken a role in their lives.
Jordan Benavides (12) explained the motives behind the Active Faith club, his passion for it, and what he has contributed.
“The main purpose of Active Faith is to bring people together and to spread the gospel and make a little community in a public school where we can talk about our faith,” Benavides said.
Brianna Castruita (12) shared how the club has helped her get involved on campus and meet more people.
“It’s impacted me because it helps me get involved on campus and interact with students, especially the underclassmen,” Castruita said.
Zenadia Diaz (12) discussed the club’s foundation and its purpose.

“We are founded on Christianity, and we really try to bring the idea of having a relationship with God and why having a faith is so important,” Diaz said.
Brisia Alonzo (12) shared her aspirations and her motives that helped contribute to the club.
“What I hope to bring to the club and the members is their heart posture within the club and to open their minds and hearts to it, and this is a club where anyone is welcome,” Alonzo said.
Nathan Lam (12) shared how he helps the club operate smoothly and how committed he is to the Active Faith club.
“I attend every meeting because I am a part of the cabinet, so I help out with preparing and welcoming people in and very occasionally speaking,” Lam said. “But we’ve only had a couple of meetings so far, so there’s still a lot of things that we can do.”
