On March 4, a group of seniors visited Mt. San Antonio College, Mt. S.AC, for a tour of the campus during Preview Day. The event, aimed at incoming students, offered campus tours and presentations before wrapping up with a resource fair.
Steven Handy (12) attended the field trip to see if he could see himself at that college. “Everyone there is really nice. If you need help with anything, you could always talk to your counselor, which they emphasize a lot. The campus was way bigger than our high school, the tour was pretty helpful, they went over a lot of the basics,” Handy said.
Karlette Morales (12) toured the Mt. SAC campus to get a firsthand look at college life and decide if it was the right path for her. “I noticed the independence of every student and how inclusive the school is by involving different cultures,” Morales said.
Jordan Carbajal (12) toured Mt. SAC College to explore whether it would be the right fit for him.
“I was surprised that they had so many different majors. It’s a big variety. You can fit in anywhere because they have a lot going on and a lot of things for different people,” Carbajal said.
Gisselle Guerra (12) shared what she found compelling about Mt. SAC and what attracted her to the college.“I liked that everything is about you and not about others, you can focus more on your own curriculum and pathway,” Guerra said.
