During the winter break, Huskies enjoyed holiday adventures and returned with stories of how they spent their well-deserved vacation.
Andrea Peeler (12) explained that during winter break she had a Christmas party with her senior friends and created vision boards for the upcoming year. Although she enjoyed building gingerbread houses and playing fun games, she explained the bittersweet feeling about graduating.
“It’s so surreal that we’re going into our last semester of high school and leaving but it’s exciting, I’m getting accepted into colleges and planning my future; the future ahead is just so bright for every single Husky of 2025,” Peeler said.
Nathan Rivera (11) traveled to New York this winter break with his family. He experienced fun and memorable moments in the city and explained his favorite part of the trip.
“My favorite part was going to Central park on our last day, it was all covered in white and I had fun messing around with my sister; going to a beautiful dinner on Christmas day was also very nice for my family”, Rivera said.
Jacobo Cortez (10) explained that he spent the holidays with his family in Perris California and enjoyed seeing them after a very long time. He explained how he enjoyed his winter break.
“I hung out with my cousins and we went driving and we had pizza and we all had a good time together, it was a fun experience driving with my cousins and it made my day a lot”, Cortez said.
Victoria Morales (9) said that she enjoyed her time off and had days that consisted of soccer practice and reading books. Winter break was able to allow her to enjoy more pastimes and go into the new year with a positive mindset.
“It feels good to go into the new year with somewhat a clean start and a new mindset for the new year”, Morales said.
