After a successful season cheering on the football sidelines and performing at several events, the senior pommies were able to have a special night dedicated to them on October 25. Some of the pomline members recalled some of their favorite memories from their senior night and the season.
Julianna Aguirre (12) has been on the pomline team for four years. She expressed that over the years she has built amazing relationships with the girls on the team and cherishes their sisterhood and having her girls by her side on senior night was very special to her.
“The girls made us all feel very special, and it was really nice. They decorated everything really pretty and it was a night all about us and it was just great,” Aguirre said.
Madison Brizo (12) a pommie who has been on the team for four years said her night was very special and everyone was glad to see the girls happy. Brizo explained what has been most impactful from her team after years of cheering with her girls.
“The importance of teamwork and working as a team is just more important than working as one person,” Brizo said.
Liv Quezada (12) has been on the pomline team since last year. Quezada said she had a great time her senior night as she had her family and friends surround her that night. She explained what her favorite part of senior night was.
“The party bus on our way to senior night and our lunch before senior night was probably my favorite,” Quezada said.
Sydney Lopez (12) has been on the team since her freshman year. She explained that she transferred her freshman year and these girls were her first friends. She expressed that they grew up together and that these girls shaped who she is.
“When we’re in practice, we spend so many hours together whether it’s before or after school, so obviously we’re really close. I think they’re amazing girls and our friendship has grown so strong”, Lopez said.
